Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar has aimed to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields. It was established on November 1, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. But the name was later changed to Guru Jambheshwar university of Science & Technology, because of its dedication to the frontiers of development and research in Science and Technology.
The campus of the University is renowned for its picturesque beauty and the infrastructural wonders. The campus is about 160 kms away from New Delhi, and sprawls over 372 acres of land.
