Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) was established in Uttar Pradesh in 2009 (U. P. Act
2008) under the Teerthanker Mahaveer Institute of Management & Technology (Society), Moradabad.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) empowers the Teerthanker Mahaveer University to award
degrees U/s 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.
The courses have the necessary approval of regulatory
bodies such as Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India, National Council for
Teacher Education etc. to runs different courses.
